Contribute to the Cause

June 20, 2008 by vinayras

As you read this, India is debating for one last time where and how Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose died. And the options before us are but just two. Either we carry on with our lives; or we demand to know the truth.

Mission Netaji is the manifestation of the aspirations of some proactive young Indians who want to see the issue of Netaji's fate settled. What you see on www.missionnetaji.org is a never-before, no-holds-barred exposition of facts. There is much more to come. We intend to lobby vigorously for the cause with political leadership, media and foreign institutions. For instance, you might see adverts in media, bettering what we did in America, hammering in the points that are being sidestepped for fear of inviting the wrath of powers that be.

How far will this mission succeed will depend on the support we get from you. We have laced up our boots, but frankly speaking, we have little to fall back on and odds are heavily stacked against us. There is one David but Goliaths are many. It is no secret that the establishment in India is not kindly disposed towards Netaji Bose. They have been, in fact, surpassing the efforts to bring out the truth about his fate. The treatment that was meted out to Justice Mukherjee Commission of Inquiry was indicative of their approach.

To make Mission Netaji tick, we request you to help us in any manner you think will further the cause. The foremost needs for us are of funds and publicity. Essentially, we need to take the message to Indians everywhere. This could be done in a variety of ways. One could distribute handbills in Chennai, and someone could give a pep-talk in Chicago.

Please write to administrator@missionnetaji.org if you would like to contribute to this noble venture in the interests of India. It's high time we got our acts together and went on Netaji's trail. Let us not be branded as ungrateful cowards who wouldn't care for the man who went missing while fighting for our freedom.
